I had so much fun shooting this session with this beautiful soul. If you haven’t met Melanie she is the BEST hairdresser in the area. This boss bade is in the process of building her new salon/spiritual center right on her beautiful property in Cumberland. Melanie approached me with this vision in her mind and wanted to create a mystical witchy themed shoot, involving crystals and Tarot cards and a full moon.
Founder and CEO of Rooted Transformations, a hair salon that incorporates spiritual elements to help clients feel beautiful and refreshed from the inside out. For the past 22 years, Mel has been styling hair and has developed strong bonds with her clientele who fall in love with her humor and her ability to connect as much as her talent as a stylist. She has an altruistic approach to business, an innate ability to connect with those around her and a deep desire to be of service. From a young age she has been sensitive to the energies and emotions of others and has always been drawn to various elements of healing. This desire to help in the healing journeys of her clients sparked her brainchild, Rooted Transformations. On her family’s ancestral land, she is in the process of building a brand new establishment which is scheduled to be open to the public this Spring 2022. This brand new location will offer new services incorporating the healing energy of Reiki, crystals and the use of various essential oils. In addition, it will be a sacred space offering a variety of workshops and classes to empower participants in the community. Her goal is to help her clients feel better mind, body and spirit.
