Happy New Year – Ottawa photographer

2017 has been a challenging year to say the least! On a business stand point everything was perfect however on a personal level it was a different story. They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger right?

This year my business was very fortunate, the studio was visited with over 60 newborns, 89 families and babies which I am extremely grateful for! It’s because of YOU that my business is so successful, and I thank YOU from the bottom of my heart!

Finding my life’s purpose is truly a gift and I feel blessed that get to do what I love every day!

This year we will be selling our beautiful home/studio.  In the meantime, I will continue to shoot newborns in my studio and will not affect my current bookings.  We are currently in the process of finding/buying our new studio space.  Our vision for the new studio will be country, rustic, vintage focusing mainly on newborns and weddings. We have lots of fun ideas coming…so stay tuned!

Most of you already know that the last few months have been a roller coaster ride of emotions for me however nothing can prepare you for the tragic loss of a close family member. On December 5th my son-in-law Shawn was involved in a terrible car accident and died from his injuries. The last few weeks have been extremely difficult for everyone especially for my daughter Savanah, granddaughter Maya and his family who have suffered such a terrible tragic loss.

The holidays this year were difficult however we found comfort in each other and family.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of you who have been there for us during this difficult time and also for the thoughtful condolences and prayers that so many of you took the time to send! My heart is overflowing with gratitude!

Here’s to 2018!

” I close my eyes to old ends…and open my heart to new beginnings!”

Your photographer and friend, Christine
