So you’re finally booked for your Christmas mini session! Tick that off the Holiday to do list!

This year we have 3 beautiful sets ready to rock your Christmas portraits; Rustic Christmas porch (outdoors), Christmas mantle (indoors), Christmas bed (indoors).

This guide will help you prepare for your upcoming Holiday session.

COORDINATE OUTFITS BUT DON’T BE ‘MATCHY-MATCHY’

I always suggest to my clients to pick out THREE coordinating colors that go well together and one of those colors being a neutral color ((Red, denims, plaid and knits look amazing in holiday portraits). You don’t  have to be wearing matching sweaters and identical pants. Instead, mix it up a little with different textures, but stick to the color palette you have chosen. Take a look at the photos below to get an idea of coordinating outfits.  P.s. Red looks great in holiday portraits!

YES TO ACCESSORIES!

I’m all about the little EXTRAS! Add some flare and personality to your session by incorporating some seasonal accessories. Winter hats, Mittens, cozy blanket, winter boots for the outdoor photos look great.  Avoid wearing heavy winter jackets as they hide the subjects face instead layer sweaters or cozy blanket works well.  For the indoor images Christmas PJ’s looks adorable for the Christmas bed set.

 

FUR BABIES WELCOME!

Your fur babies are welcome to the session.  All dogs MUST BE LEASHED while on the property. Just remember, this is a MINI session and if you think your dog will not cooperate, I recommend leaving them at home. Another option is to have them in the car and bring them out during the outdoor portion of the session (bring treats).   If you plan to bring your pet to the session, please let me know ahead of time.

 

 

BE ON TIME!

Please arrive a little early to your session to allow meet and greet and for children to warm-up.  I suggest putting the location in GPS in advance to plan your arrival time.  We are located in Greely which is roughly 30 minutes South of Ottawa, Kanata or Orleans.

YOUR PHOTOS

After your session has taken place, you will receive your proofing gallery within 3 business days and the final gallery within 2 business days of your final selection. Your mini session package includes 10 digital images with the option to purchase extra images or purchase prints separately.

HAVE FUN!!

MOST importantly is to just HAVE FUN and be yourself.
